I just picked up some more surplus AK mags and I found an odd looking one in the batch. I did some research on the web and it looks like it is an old Chinese stamped sideplate mag. Are these rare? Any idea on the value? There was also one in the batch that had a cutout for a slidestop in it. I can't find any other markings. Maybe once I degrease them, I can find some proofs. |

The Chinese ones have been pretty frequent since the Sportsmans Guide shipment became available. I sold some for about $9.00 shipped. Supposedly they have brought $20.00 to $55.00 on gunbroker previously. If someone needs them for their mag collection or for preference use in a Chinese rifle I would say $10.00 + shipping is a fair price currently. The one with the cutout sounds like a Yugo BHO that has been notched for what some say was a milled receiver. |
