SAM-7 A1R > AK Discussions

Since I can't find a SAM-7 Carbine, can I take off the flash suppressor off of a SAM-7 A1R and use as a carbine? Can I put a thred protector on it? I will probably want to put a fold-in stock on it anyway.

No, the A1 has 24mm threads, for which a nut is not available.

The FH is only like 2½" long anyway.

Could you have a gun smith put 14mm threads on it?

I've got the SA M-7R Carbine but would rather have the A1R with the 24mm FSB and FH anyway. I'm thinking about having the 24mm FSB put on, but a trade might be more practical if you're interested.

Try K-Var, they may have them, It will fit your SAM-7 A1R
