How come I never hear of an AK KB? Are they immune to it and is it only for ARs? |

OK, You're a Noob. KB=Ka-Boom! As in an explosive failure in a firearm. Usually due to one of a few things....(A.)A round being set off/going off, out of battery, (B.) A case failure/separation due to an unsupported case, (C.) An out of "Spec" round, (D.) Shooting any gun with the word/term "Glock" associated with it (Sorry! long running ARFCOM Joke! Tall Shadow

Most of us shoot steel case Wolf ammo (Or equivelant) the steel case helps because it's stronger than brass + most of this ammo is way week + 7.62X39 isn't a very high power round to start with. I even built one AMD pistol that had way scary head space, I shot it after I checked a Century AK that had even worse head space and I had been shooting it for 10 years and never knew. I checked the brass after the first few shots, no problem. AKs are gods miracle I guess. What's old saying, something like "God protects children, retards and idiots"? You build a gun out of sheet metal, in a factory with no electricity, with bare foot workers who shit on the ground like animals and the thing works like a champ. Build a gun in America with high payed union labor, computerized milling equipment, precision calibrated instumitation etc, etc and the thing jams if you don't clean it and blows up at the drop of a hat. WTF? |

Was that the one with the video? It was in the Rommy section, I believe the round went off out of battery, they cleared the debree and kept shooting. Compare that with the Bushmater that blew up aqua bumping, there was very few salageable parts left after that. |
