Yugo Underfolder > AK Discussions

I am picking up my Yugo Underfolder either Friday or Saturday. I was wandering what upgrades ( if any) can or should be done to this particular AK. I looked at it yesterday at a local gun shop and it looks really good and I got a really good deal on it. It was last one he had and was told that are getting harder to come by???

I hope that after I toss out for the Vector RPD, I will still be able to find a decent M70 in a month or two. I'm sure I will. Personally, I cannot think of any upgrades other than having plenty of Yugo mags on hand, and wrapping the stock with para-cord.

I know it came with 2 mags... where is the best place to buy extra mags???

I ordered the same deal they had on Romanian mags, and they wear nearly flawless. The only wear I saw was finish wear near the feed.

Check out my M70 web page for some mods you can do and save yourself a lot of money buying expensive "yugo" mags you do not need as ANY 30 round mag can be made to do the same thing for $3.50 and about 2 minutes with a dremel tool.

Thanks man, I try to be helpful and save folks some money. Doing the follower mod gives you the same exact thing as the expensive mags do and it gives you a chance to clean out your mags and make sure they function properly.

I was just going to say tha!! I too was one of the unlucky people Centerfire stiffed on the M70. Was told for months"next week" so I passed on some others that were $10-20 higher and had all accesories. Then I finally got the call and they did not give me the bayo, mags, or sling on top of jacking the "locked in" price up. Now they are selling Yugo mags. I think they scalped our mags!
