I wonder, what ever could be inside the baggie...I'll give you three guesses, the first two dont count, and it isnt animal or vegitable! Lets take a peak!    Could it be? Thats right yo, the truck came today. While shopping for my apartment for next year, I happened to think "hey, why not" as I happened to pass Academy. Its still a little pricey, but who cares? To shoot ol' girl one more time before she goes the way of clean women, quality American automobiles, and cheap gas, Ill pay a little extra. ETA: The last time someone was this excited about the contents of a baggie, the baggie was probably smaller and the contents were probably, uh, lets just say a natural plant that grows in the dirt...

look closely at the middle pic. They are charging the MSRP, which is 2.86/box. This is a little outrageous, but not as much as W&W selling esentially the same ammo (wolf, different factory, but same spec produced at the same cost) for 3.29/box
Negatory. You should have seen the shelf after I left. I took 400 rounds. I would estimate I left at least 3000-5000. My reasons for not wiping the shelf clean are two fold: Tommorow is the last time I will ever shoot 7.62x39 ammo for the forseeable future. The AK was A LOT of fun, but Im moving on for now. The next few guys who came in today and probably bought some ammo would have heard "yeah, we had 10 cases out just this morning..." The sooner guys quit hearing this line when they go in Academy, and the sooner the various suppliers get caught up on all the backorders they accumulated during the temporary shortage: the sooner you guys will stop paying inordinate amounts of money per unit and the sooner the prices will settle back down. It doesnt even really effect me directly, because Im moving on to a different caliber, but Karma has a way of catching up to people, pay back is a bitch, and a 5.56 shortage would suck for me in the future. |
Range reports? Gripes, bitchin, complainin? Of course. My opionion on general AK issues? Yall will still get that, $.02 at a time. ETA:After all, I am a SME on WASRs and the history of assault rifles. |
