Hello,

I recently purchased a Global Arsenal USA underfolder AK (referenced above) from a seller on Gunbroker.com. He advertised it as a Polish Underfolder, but when I received it today, it clearly stated on the receiver and box that it's actually a Model AMD-63-2UF.

My questions are as follows:

1) Is this actually a "dressed-up" Hungarian AMD-63 oe AMD-65 and not Polish as advertised?

2) If it's Hungarian, is the bore chrome lined?

3) If it's actually Hungarian, is it better or lesser quality than a Polish rifle?

4) Which version is more desirable, Polish or Hungarian?

5) The seller advertised that it was built by Mr. Ivan Kolev. Is this true if it was made at Global
Armory USA?

6) Even though it's stamped, "Global USA" is the receiver actually made by Global or FEG?

the AA serial number usually indictes a armory usa/global reciever

what are the numbers or arsenal markings on the trunions?

The barrel assembly is from the AMD-63, and the wood, folding stock and rear trunnion is from the PMKMS. The AMD flange is not standard AKM. We know about the issue on lining up the hole, and this is supposed to be taken care of during assembly. Someone just didin't get the job finished. I'm glad it was only this and not something critical.

We built about 150 of these, and quite a few went to dealers. We recently found enough parts to build 4 more, but supply is pretty limited.

We hope to have essentially this rifle available commercially by summer. We hope to have underfolders available from both our Bulgarian factory and the Polish one. We will have to install them here.

And yes, we did quit installing buffers because a few rifles just would not function with them. The owner's manual for the new rifles doesn't mention the buffers. Local production still gets the old manual. I need to edit it--just not enough hours in the day.

The last ones we sold were $700 retail.

Just for clarity, we are working on two tracks here in Houston. Our volume sales are from the Bulgarian factory. We don't have enough legal barrel assemblies to make many rifles here today. But we do build a few as we find the parts. So small quantities of nice rifles are sold directly here or at Texas gun shows.
