Is the RPK more accurate than a standard AK?

Well given the barrel is longer- then yes.

If the barrel is not shot to shit(most all kits are) 300m comfy 400m with parctice.

Longer barrel= Better velocity = better range

It must be said it is still no tackdriver. 400m = Man size target M43 just does not have the legs for distance work.

I should expect 2" accuracy at 100m verses 3.5"? I am looking at purchasing one of the RPK74 kits from ORF and was just curious about the possible accuracy improvement over the AK74 (SLR105) at 100m's. If anyone has actually shot both types of rifles for a comp, let me know.

I have not shot the RPKs for groups. I have noted that Romy 47s tend to be 4moa and Bulgy 74s 2.5moa. These may be the same only bigger guns, or different chambering/bores.

Longer barrel does not equal better accuracy, a common misconception. It does increase velocity and thus shoots flatter; so in that sense the longer barrel will make the shooter more accurate. If you get a new kit and build on an RPK receiver,i.e. stiffer receiver, it should be more accurate than an AK74 IMHO.

The increased sight radius might assist you with shooting better groups but those groups are going to be limited by the rifles capability...
