| Is the RPK more accurate than a standard AK? |
|
I should expect 2" accuracy at 100m verses 3.5"? I am looking at purchasing one of the RPK74 kits from ORF and was just curious about the possible accuracy improvement over the AK74 (SLR105) at 100m's. If anyone has actually shot both types of rifles for a comp, let me know. Thanks |
| Longer barrel does not equal better accuracy, a common misconception. It does increase velocity and thus shoots flatter; so in that sense the longer barrel will make the shooter more accurate. If you get a new kit and build on an RPK receiver,i.e. stiffer receiver, it should be more accurate than an AK74 IMHO. |
