She died in the 80s if this is indeed who I think it is. Where did you source the photo? Prussian royalty on an AK board, who'd figure.

"Deathshead" badges go back way before WWII. I know of at least one British cavalry regiment in the Napoleonic Wars that had it. (Or was it the Crimean War?)
