I sent my CFS systems Yugo RPK back and was told it was the best they had the bore was good with no pitting ,but the furniture sucked and for $500 I expected better. I ordered a Yugo RPK  from Copes and spoke with Roger(really nice guy)  and got it today. Well the furniture is alot better but the bore has more wear and slight pitting(bullet test goes to the red laq on wolf). I guess i should have kept what I got the first time, cause the shipping gets expensive. I must say though Roger did tell me they may have slight pitting. Im about ready to give up on the Yugos unless some new ones come in!!!!!!! And no I'm not slamming Cope's just tired of the Yugo ordeal period.

Maybe it would make you feel better to buy it for 375$

complete less receiver, overall good to VG condition with shiny bore. $15 S&H

cal 7.62x39.

I have a few YUGO 7.62x39 RPK kist available also, good to VG condition, dark bores $375

Conflicting statement. I almost bought one this weekend from him and had to cancel. E-mail conversations were that he could not validate bore conditions and also he was not setup to take credit cards. The latter made me back out as I would have no recourse if not shipped or given a total junk set. Some vouch for him on the boards but it did not give me a warm fuzzy.

I dont see why people are suprised.

The Yugo AKs all had crap bores.. Why would an RPK have better? If anything it should be worse..

Its a surplus gun, used with corrosive ammo during a decade long war, in a wet country. What do you expect?

I would hope that someone gets off their 4th point of contact and starts importing new production sporters...

Some importer/dealer on the way is making out like a bandit. The Yugo RPKs sell for about $100 more then the standard AKs (in deactivated form) in Germany. Considering that the Standard rifles are about $400, and the RPKs about $500, there doesnt seem to be much difference in price from source.

Already in the works. The LPK 96A (sporter version of the M77) may be imported sometime in the future, allegedly, reportedly.

I Ordered the Romy RPK. To me there is not much difference between the M70 AK kits and the Yugo RPK kits.

The Yugo M70 kits are very cool. The Romy RPK's have a more traditional RPK look and I think they are the best bang for the buck.

If you just want a shooter with an excellent barrel get a NHM-91...You can't beat them.

I posted in another thread about ordering from the above dealer. His company name is Broad Armory and I was able to use a credit card. I ordered the shiny bore RPK for $475 and that is exactly what I got. Most of the blue finish was gone (or just a super light blued finish) that I plan on refinishing with Duracoat Gunblue.

Who are the vendors that are selling the Romanian RPK's and their prices?  Thanks.
