Whether these things are the perfect guns for padding around the house and yard, under the Cherokee front seat, post Bird Flu devestation or just the usual zombie swarm, I don't know. But my coolness meter just exploded. Thanks for the good photos.

very nice. question for pistol owners- i don't quite understand the legality of pistols, i thought they weren't supposed to have a forend grip and/or a removeable magazine.

so the only thing to distinguish between a pistol and a rifle is the pistol can't have a stock but a rifle has to have a minimum length barrel?

pistol cant have a stock or a front pistol grip

rifle has to have at least a 16" barrel and 26" overall length

Not done yet, but soon...it's a Rom barrel assembly with the barrel cut back, gas tube and upper HG cut back and re-fitted, the gas block moved back (gas port re-drilled), the front sight chopped and re-welded on the gas block...on a GT receiver.

I kept the lower HG the orig size. Rear tang will be the standard kind with tang cut, boxed in with steel and a rear sling hanger...then I'll thread the muzzle and put a slant brake on it for simplicity and elegance...MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

Cool thing about this is that it fits in a Maxpedition Vulture Backpak...the pack of freak survivalists everywhere....

How long is that barrel?

Bbl is 10 1/4 inches. The controlling thing was the lower HG retainer. I didn't want to move it, so I moved the gas block back as far as I could to still barely allow the lower HG to come off. For all the work, going shorter makes a lot of sense, on the other hand, I simply wanted the cool look of long handguards, Krink style gasblock/FS, and the ability to fit it easily in a MaxPed Vulture pack.

Since it was a Rom bbl assembly, I could affort the risk of screwing it up...

How much would you offer him, think it has some nice options like Red Star 2 stage trigger, optic rail, and sling attachment on the rear.
