Where is the best place to buy AK slings? I have looked at DPH and ak-builder but to no avail.

On a side note...I just got a AMD-65 from a guy that had a three point sling. I have never had one of these prior. I am really impressed with it.

Do yourself a favor and get a nice Russian sling. IMHO they are much nicer than any of the other slings on the Market(Bulgarian, & Polish). If you ask Stottman nice he might be able to locate one for you.

What color is the hardware on those? Seems like it would be an easy fix with some RIT dye on a standard Bulgarian....

I have a notorious plum sling also,didnt realize the rarity of it when I bought it. TravisA do you know any history about them at all

Do they really even have plum RIT dye or are you having to mix color's to get it???

I wonder if it will match my shoes and purse?? I mean boots and mag pouch! I meant boots and mag pouch!!!!!

Seriously they dont make plum dye do they?? I going to Google it..

ETA: I googled it looks more like purple then plum.But it may look different on cloth though..
Worth trying I guess..My wife was'nt doing anything this weekend anyway..

Honey could you dye my AK sling?????

Travis,that looks like like the OD Bulgarian sling.

Jicky,the plumb slings I saw looked like faded pink,.........you may just want to stick with the tan Russian sling.

Sorry Johno - That is one of the 'famous' 25 that came from K-Var Summer 2004. OD

You sure your monitor is working right?

When I first posted pics of this sling summer 2004 it did almost look pink - that was me. I don't know of any one else posting one of the true plum slings from K-var on this site besides me over the last year and half.

Travis,I stand corrected,my monitior is working right but my tired old eyes are the problem!I'm on a 12 hour swing shift and I've been working night shift since Friday night,I'm off after tonight and rotate to day shift this Friday and,hopefully,I'll get some sleep.

Ahhh, so you just took a crappy pick the first time. Mine actually looks just like yours. I'll have to hang it on a rifle. Waiting on my AKS-74 to come back, it'll be plum-riffic.
