Ok besides the obvious ass end reciver cut. What does it take to make a Vepr accept standard Ak funiture? I am looking into getting 2 of these but I detest the feel of that forearm. Plus what can be done to actually make the front ends like a 100 series. I like the standard set up. I know someone has done this before, so if you have any links or pics plus input please hit me with it. james |
| If you want a more authentic AK you would be better of getting an Arsenal or American Armory AK and it would be cheaper in the long run. Krebs has made them look like standard AKs but it takes $$$. I find the Vepr furniture comfortable and the stock fits me way better than standard AK furniture. I wanted shooters though. Veprs are fantastic rifles and contrary to rumors if you go to thier web page their is all kinds of spare parts listed. I would look and see what Atlantic Firearms was selling. |

You could have a slot cut for an RPK handguard retainers, and use RPK furniture. This will require pressing off the gas block and front sight assy. The barrel is too thick for a standard AK handguard retainer. I guess you could have the barrel turned down, and replace all the front end parts with AK ones, but that seems like a lot of work and expense for what you're getting. |
