I own the Side Folder Version, it rocks.

They're really nice, but that's a lot of money for an AK.

Yeah, but is it the best? I want the cadillac of AK's. I own a Vepr, and it has a beautiful fit and finish, but I want the best, and I want it with all the no-ban features with the underfolder stock. Is this it???

Yes.

You cant really see the fit and finish on these on the website, can anybody post a couple close up pics of thiers? Templar, can you make that link hot or tell me how to do it?

I can tell you that the fit and finish is EXCELLENT. Much better than pretty much anything else out there.

I think  this might be my next AK. I just need a closer look at one, and they dont have any in the gun shops around here. Tried google for the close up pictures to no avail.

I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow.  The new camera is much, much better than the old one.

Here's a pic of a special build Classic underfolder.  The black enamel finish is the same on the M7 series.

And the front end of an A1 model.

I will say one thing in the "negative" about them......while both the website and the manual show the rifle with a 30 round waffle mag, the ones that we've received have been shipped with the 5/10 round short waffle mags.

Not a huge biggie, but I wish they were shipped with a standard military magazine.

If you have an under fixation, sure. I have the SAM7SF for the different fsb/ability to use fh or 74 type brake, and optics rail.

I could have bought 12 cases of ammo, but I would not have the gun I really wanted.

It says that the muzzle has 14mm threads on the SAS M-7. You can swap 'em out???

Templar, that finish is purty, but is it thick like the Vepr is?

The MSRP $ 1175 is about what i payed for a used pre ban poly underfolder 5 years ago. as to it being worth it, i'll let you know when the one i ordered from Templar arrives. mmk

I used to own an A1 model (24mm threads with flash hider)

It was pretty, no doubt about it.
