I have had the brownish junk in my WASR since I got it. Its around the boilt guide rails and rear trunion. It looks like rust, seems to be rust, but cleans off easier than anything I've seen. Toothpick, and voila! Gone. It doesn't come back, except after I lube it. (Using Hoppes Elite) Is this junk rust? Have any of you had similar problems?

It's cosmoline, a preservative.  Looks kinda like rust when dried out.
