Since I got my AK I have been looking for the canvas AK pouches that used to litter the streets a few years ago and I am coming up emptyhanded everywhere I turn. Has anybody here got any ideas or leads? Am I missing something, did they become super rare collectibles or oil rags in some Texas garage?
I am looking for something simple to carry a small load of AK mags, light and easy and nothing seems to fit the bill but the CHicoms. I have a Blackhawk chest rig and a vest, both are too bulky for my purposes.

Thanks, Y'all.

Try these guys. There is a chest rig about 2/3 down the page that looks similar to the old chinese ones.

ETA - I've never bought anything from them so I dont know how good they are....

I'm currently deployed and am planning on bringing several chest rigs back from Iraq.  It's anyone's guess on where they were made, but they are authentic and the ones I have already...have "a little" blood splatter on them.  Anyone interested?

gunmonkey,

ARCAPTN,

If they have any iraqi markings I am. I already have a sling, republican guard beret, some misc field gear, a chest mag pouch would be nice!
STAY SAFE!

Hey Cap'n, if you're going to part with any of them let me know. Would love to have a battlefield pick up chest kit.

Actually,.....................I think I got'em all .While some of the Iraqi chest pouches were locally made, the majority of them were Chinese contract. There were also some 4 cell Chinese chest pouches, these were contracted for the Afghan freedom fighters in the 80s.
