I received my Polish underfolder kit was really pleased. 98% finish, all matching except bayonet, and perfect wood. When I cleaned the bore, it looked perfect at first glance. I then noticed a dark 1mm wide ring in the bore, about 3mm past the start of the rifling from the chamber end. I "felt" it with a dental pick and confirmed that it was indeed a sunken ring that had filled with carbon. What might have caused it? I have seen "bulged" barrels before from firing with an obstruction, but never something like this. |
