Greenlight/Yugo Recievers How long of wait? > AK Discussions

My dealer has been trying to get in contact with Greenlight to get me my reciever, anyway how long does it take to get them from him?

He does not return email, or answer phone calls

If the importer hasn't got his permits approved now, it aint gonna happen.
This new ban will cut off the importation of foreign receivers, along with barrels.

If the permit was approved, they have until Sept 10, 2005 to get them here.
Any approved import permits expire then.

Jeep, it is really hard to say.. All I know is I emailed him 3 oe so times about ordering a receiver for my RPK.. The first email sent over 5 weekd ago, and I have yet to hear from him..

Maybe all of my emails got lost, I'm sending another tonight.. I'm not in a hurry to get mine, but I would like to get one..

My order is in for two yugos and today I dropped in the mail another for an RPK receiver. I'll wait - He's the only game in town for now.

If you talked to him, what did he said as to why he does not answer e-mails or that his voice mail box has been full three weeks? And what did he say about when these "in stock" items would ship? I think we are getting scammed and I prepaid two receivers.

Chris from Greenlight posted over on Gunsnet to say he will be emailing everyone who has orders in. Apparently the shop that does his lasercutting oversized some of the holes ruining all of the flats he is using. The shop is replacing all of them but now he is WAY behind. He is figuring 30 days before he can start shipping. While Im disappointed to have to wait longer, I much rather get a receiver that is correct.

I'm certainly willing to wait on a quality receiver ... or 2 ...

It gives me time to save some money to buy the receivers !!

At the time Harlan didn't have them and Chris at greenlight said his would be shipping EARLY July.
Yea, He screwed me. Anyway, my order will be in with Harlan as soon as he gives me the thumbs up.

I talked to Harlen on the phone today and he said that the fixed stock receivers should be in tonight and the underfolders are there now. He said for the custom serials that it would be another week till they got it done for my order at least.

The man is on the ball. He returns emails and phone calls.

I should have my 2 receivers in 2 weeks. I cant wait hty.gif

The other reason I originally didn't go with Harlan is he was manufacturing 'YUGO' receivers and not RPK. I need an RPK...The rear ends are slightly different according to him.

Thats true, the back of the receiver is cut straight on a RPK and they also dont have mag well dimples.

RPK's - Some do have the dimples some don't. We've been trying to figure that one out on our RPK Facts thread.
