| Ok so I have my 74M folder polymer, what I'm wanting to know is will the metal ones just switch out and work just the same or do I need additional hardware? Is the tang and trunion the same? |
| It won't be just a straight swap. The original trunnion for the polymer stock has different internal dimensions. Mike@Firing line told me that the angle of the axis pin is slightly different (but not much). Also, the axis pin itself is of different diameter. I believe the polymer's original axis pin is the bigger one, so you'll need to put a sleeve in the stock for the smaller pin from the triangle stock to work in. It is quite workable, though. Plenty of people have done it. Kevin_M4 comes to mind as having done quite a bit of work with these stocks. |
