I am trying to install a muzzle brake on my MAK90, it is the pin on kind. But I can get the pin to budge out of the front sight post.

What is the best way to get that pin out without damaging my rifle; i.e., barrel?

Thanks

You need a hammer and a punch. It was a pain in the butt when I did it to mine. Make sure the rifle is very secure and doesn't move when you are pounding on the front sight pin.

I had a heck of a time getting the two front sight block pins out of the last Romanian that I did!  I tried the punch and hammer method.  No go.  I tried to drill them partially out, then re used the punch and hammer method.  No go.  (After I got permission from the owner of the rifle), I sectioned the front sight where the pins go through then I press the front sight block off as usual.

Needless to say, the old front sight was trashed.

Good Luck!
