I'd go with the RRA M4 type.

I am leaning that way mostly because of my familiarity with the AR but I'm a wee bit concerned about how much velocity the 5.56 looses in the 14.5" barrel.

it loses enough to make the 16" a better choice. also with the 16" you dont have to worry if you want to swap out flash hiders, muzzle brakes, or even suppressors.
