I notice alot of kit guns use these receivers.

How do OOW's receivers compare to the other various AK variants receivers that made their way to the US civilian market:

Chinese Maks
Russian Veprs
SAR's
Arsenal Inc.
MAADI

to name a few

and all the other various stamped receiver AK variants that made their way here in terms quality, durability and ruggedness.

In short, are the a well made, durable, receiver compared to their competitors, that can stand up to long term abuse in the way that the AK is legendary for?

They 25% thicker but without full heat treatment who really knows

The top selector notch is buggered up and the fire control hole locations are slightly too high for some kits

Best to go with Global Trades

For a long time, OOW were probably the best receivers you could get.  They are good receivers that will probably outlast their shooters. They do have some flaws though.  The popular receivers now are the new Global 1.0mm ones.

Jnewt did a review of different receiver types in the link below.

Been beating the crap out of mine for years and no signs of wear. I know of a OOW/AMD65 FA that gets passed around at events with no issues either.

I have a PMKMS built on an  OOW receiver and a built as a PMDSS with prob 150,000 rounds through it, ALL on full auto, seems ok AND an AMD 65, PMDSS rocker with around 5000 rounds through it.BOTH still run just fine for receivers...... that, according to some rocket scientists, lacks heat treating and wont last.Bwahhhhaaaaa bullshit.

Internet experts."Launching bullshit missiles hourly." What a laugh.
