I have a Vector underfolder that I would like to put a full stock on or maybe one of the ACE folders or maybe an AR stock like the VLTOR. Is this possible without sending to a gunsmith for a major overhaul? Maybe some type of adapter or light/easy gunsmith work that I can do. Any suggestions? |
Exactly. There are plenty of guys who are coming here looking for them. List it on the equipment exchange and post a link to it here. It will sell in no time. Then buy what you want. But AR parts on an AK? Yeecch!

Agreeded! Don't butcher it and NO AR PARTS. You should have no problems selling it. Hell, keep it and buy a Romy with a fixed stock. |
If you don't really like the underfolder, the best advice is to sell it & replace it with a full stock unit. The recievers on underfolders don't lend themselves well to modifications. But please, don't put AR parts on it. AR's is AR's, AK's is AK's. I have em' both & love em' both, but to interchange stuff is almost incest.  |

I don't mibnd if you want to put Enfield parts on your AK or Maxim parts on your 10/22. To answer your question, it would be major surgery to put anything besides an underfolder on your rifle. The rear trunnion would have to be replaced and a hole lot of hole filling would have to be done. As stated above the Vector underfolders are in great demand and you would have no problem selling it quickly, probably at a premium. You could probably find somebody sitting on a nice preban fixed stock gun who would trade you even. |
