are these longer in length compared to say the romanian wire or bulgarian stamped steel folder?
Where can I get one and for how much?

about $100 for both rec adaptor and stock, which folds either left or right depending on how you install

Owning one, I would recommend you not buy an Ace folding stock. I've lock tited the screws on 2 different occasions and they still keep coming loose. The mechanism is a bitch to fold. In the open position it is a very stable shooting platform but folding it as I said before is a pita.

I think I'm going to get a another fulsize kvar stock for it and be done with it.

Great, thanks for the pics. What about the one that folds nearly flush with the back of the reciever? Is that a different model, or somehow installed with a different block?

That is exactly what I'm looking for, except with the shorter model stock without the foam. Please, which model stock, block, etc, is that?

Yes, I have visited the ACE site before, but have found it to be less than informative. It appears that I need the internal block for the folder that fits flush with the reciever. What type of modification is needed to install this unit? Do the internal and external blocks both use the same stocks?

Very nice. That looks similar to my MAK, but I have the Tapco folder on it right now.

That stock is the middle length one with a half inch rubber pad on the end. I put the foam on myself so its not something you'll have to take off when you get it.

As for the hinge mechanism and reciever block they are a one size fits all deal. My reciever block is the one though that you must cut the tang off in the back to use it. No big deal though.

Yes I did. I basically told them I wanted a foam tube for such and such stock and they matched me up. Its much more comfortable for me to shoot with the foam on the stock.

Yep, they both use the same stocks. To use the flush mounted receiver block, just saw off the tang flush with the back edge of your receiver.

Stock, plus folding mechanism, plas receiver block will run you about $160 total, but in my opinion, it's the best aftermarket folder for the AK anywhere. It's stronger than a Galil and weighs hardly anything.

They are built very good no doubt. I bought a second one a couple months ago and notice its a little hard to fold like drobs said. I didnt have time to trouble shoot it but it shouldnt be a big deal to fix. I would imagine if you were having a problem they would fix it for free. I will buy from them again especially when they get the AR bullpup kit done

On a rifle, I imagine it'd be quite nice. On a 12ga shotgun, not so much. I've removed the folding latch from mine, so I can mount the stock lower and access the iron sights. without some kind of a pad or paracord wrap over the tube, it's pretty brutal on the cheek.

Triburst1: I've decided to sell mine (pictured above); Email sent!
