first of all i had a blast at Hite Hollow.  although my ak was pissing me off so much.

it seemed that everytime i fired it, the bolt would lock back.  i would pull it back and let it go
and it would slam shut.

Gas piston bent?, or friction when cycling by hand?

Hammer sitting to high?

ETA: I recently had a problem with a post ban hungarian doing the same thing, I discovered the problem was the front mounting bolt on the Romy side folder was sticking up causing the action to bind a bit.

Same trip to the range one of my SAR1's started doubling, I saw the trigger pin was popping out. I opened it up and found that the monkeys at century had neglected to install a shephards hook, and I had neglected to notice this in the several years I had owned it.

i dont understand...the first time i took it to the range it shot fine...had the bolt stick back maybe 2 or 3 times.

i took it apart to have it gunkoted(thanks rob) and when i put it back together it was sticking.

rob said it could be cuz of the gunkote making it stick but i dont know...its just weird

You might just have to lube the shit out of it, then shoot the shit out of it.  I'll check it out on Thursday if you come by the NRA Range.

My AMD63/OOW did that due to the carrier hanging a bit on the Gordon hammer. I dried the carrier/rec rails/hammer, racked a bunch, wiped and relubed. Runs fine now.

I heard a great apocryphal story about a guy with a F/A Chauchat gun with an exceptionally rough action.  Word is he poured the thing full of valve grinding compound, then set it on the front step while he was doing yardwork.  Every time he passed the porch, he'd cycle the bolt a few times.  After a few days the thing cleaned up ok and started shooting fairly reliably (aside from the crappy mag).

I'm not saying pour your rifle full of grinding compound, but I'm not saying don't either

What type of FCG do you have in the rifle. I was having this problem with my RSA FCG here to find out that Ken redesigned the hammer to work in rifles that have higher pin placements (OOW receivers).

God I hope these new Global receivers are worth it! We need a replacement for those damn ITM/OOW receivers. Way to many issues with them.

My new AMD63 build has this issue and it is the hammer.  It's a G2 trigger group and from what I can tell the hammer has more beef to it.  I will be grinding the face down a bit to make it work smooth.
