Sorry to hear about your problems but it's just the way they (Joken) do business. After reading many of the horror stories about JOKEN, I will never and I mean "NEVER" buy from them. You can add your Dad to list of hundreds that have been taken. Oh, they might send you the difference but they'll make you wait. Very poor customer service. Well, at least it's a lesson learned. |

They are quick on saying they will fix a problem but much slower in the real world. Over at the other website site I had a problem with an order and they said that it would be fixed right away. Make a long story short they never did and I had to dispute the charge. Good luck |

Nightsparky, I had a bad, 3 month ordeal with them last summer. I finally got the part that I ordered but I had to stay on them. Promise after broken promise. Tell your Dad to stay on them or they just hope that he will go away. Call them every week at least. It's too bad that they operate like that, I see parts in their Shotgun News ad that I'd like to purchase. But I know better. I wonder why Shotgun News runs their ads with the reputation that they have. Money.......maybe if we all complain to Shotgun News that have had a bad experience with them, they won't let them advertise. RTO |

I am a bit surprised by this news. I would have thought that Joe at least would have made damn sure that they got issues with members here squared away. Did you guys mention to Joeken that you were members of this site? The staff here went so far as to give them a full week to get thier shit together and prove themselves without the distraction of having to deal with pissing matches from this site. I though that was awful fair and generous. Andrew comes off as a pompous ass, but Joe seemed to be fairly determined to change his image and redeem his name. I guess young dogs aren't all that much different from old dogs after all. |

One thing should tell you how they conduct business, is how they treat their customers. It's really hard (maybe impossible) to find anyone who has had any kind of goodwill dealing with these people. And if you do find someone, there's another 100 who have had bad dealings with them. They should be baned from advertizing everywhere. But alas...the almighty dollar speaks. |

Lightning_P38, I think that telling anyone in business that one is a member of this group is a moot point. They should treat everyone the same. I own a business and every once in a while I have a disatisfied customer. With 32 years in my business I have had less than 6 disputes that ended up with consumer affairs becoming involved. I put myself in my customer's shoes and resolve the problem before it becomes a major issue. I deliver what I commit to. I was treated poorly by Joeken. I apologize for the soap box. RTO |

No need to apologize. I was just trying to figure out if they were paying any attention at all to the promises that they made here on this site a week ago or if they were blowing more hot air. I agree it shouldn't matter who you are or where you are from the service you recieve should be the best a vendor can provide, I guess in this case we are seeing the best htey are willing to provide. Maybe they will do better selling at gunshows where they don't have the shipping and order processing problems. This thread really doesn't belong in the BIY forum. If anybody wants to continue the discussion it would probably be a good idea to start a thread in the AKGD forum. |

| Thank you for the info Scromer, last tuesday is when Andrew was supposed to send the check. Frpm Winslow, Arizona to Globe, Arizona is maybe at most a three day postage with the postal service. ANYBODY can pamper a few requests and smooth a few customers in the short term, just as much as any customer can be unreasonable. What matters most is the long-term average, which is why these threads exist. If anybody else had promises to 'make good' recently, feel free to report follow ups here. And if you do not have a dog in this current hunt, please try to stay out of this thread. Too many posturing opinion posts make it too hard to keep track of the facts. If you want to claim that Andrew should be the next Pope, or that he sucks donkey dick, you better be prepared to back it up. PS- I did unlock ESSESS's acct last Thur. Well, I'll toss in my .03 worth. In that 10 page long posting they had 3 weeks ago, they promised to refund me the overcharge they made 1 1/2 yrs ago, and also send the bag of rivits that was never received from that order. I haven't heard shit from them since. Fuck em! I'm contacting the shotgun news and demand that they drop Joken from their list of advertizers. Then I'm calling the Winslow P.D. to see if they can do anything about Joken's thievery. OJF |

What the hell is wrong with people?? How many chances do these clowns get?? I keep thinkiing I'm dealing with a bunch of rough-and-tumble gun guys on these forum but yall are way too nice! Da Gooch was a waste, it is sad that Goonsnet shielded him right up until the day his checks started to bounce. They chould have been held partially accountable as they were responsible for that thievery as he was. Got a call 2 minutes ago, telling me that they'r sending out my refund check today. Yeah, the check's in the mail! This is so STUPID! I can't believe that they don't know that their ruining their reputations and their Business. Goonsnet is drying up, I think they know that. How can they think that their way of doing business will succede on other gun boards? It only worked on goonsnet because the owner is crooked and will do anything to make a buck! OJF |

Customer orders product...Customer complain...Joeken promise to make things right...customer complains...joken makes promise...customer complains....check is cut for refund. They were not checks sent out for refunds. One was a for an $8 rivet set on a $210 order that we are sending both a new rivet set and the $8 for the set. The other was $80 discount because the customer was not happy with the quaility of the E German kit. The kits were listed as having Fair bores, and we gave the customer the discount on the E German kit to try and make him a happy cusomer. If he does not like the kit, we will gladly give him the rest of the money back on the order and he can return the kit. Regardless of what we do, most of the people on this website are going to bad mouth us regardless of what we do. If you do not want to do business with us, best of luck to you. There are plenty of other places to find the same products we sell at similar prices. If anyone else had a problem. Please bring it to my attention and I will make sure that it gets taken care of. We are not looking for "fresh fish" as a few of you have put it on this website. Bringing up that we have problems and that we are trying to solve them has scared many more customers away then it has give us. If the last problems we have with customers on this website right now is the $8 credit and the $80 kit rebate, then I'll stop posting here until anyone else needs stuff taken care of. Most of you do not want us to post here and we do not want to waste the time of the busy moderators. The best of luck to all of you and if there are any more problems, please let me know. Joe |

Wait just a minute Joe; you came on the board 3 weeks ago saying that Joeken is changed for the better, and that you want to do business with us. quite a few people chimed in calling your claims B.S., and demanding that you show proof of your change. You say OK, anyone with unresolved problems contact you and the problem will be resolved. I tell you about your overcharging my order, by adding a so-called DISCOUNT of 7.99 to my order, instead of substracting the discount from the order, increasing my payment to you from my credit card. This was not about not getting a rivit set, this was about you charging more than I really owed you. So anyways, you tell me on the phone that you are sending out the refund that day. Three weeks go by and no refund! Now with more posts about joeken's B.S. claims, you finally come on and tell us that again, the refund checks are going out today. What's amazing is that You come off sounding like the injured party here. You guys have not changed one little bit! 3 weeks ago I was contemplating buying a receiver from you. Now, you could lower your price to $5 per receiver and I would'nt even consider buying it from YOU! How could you forget your promise to make good an order so damn quickly? You must have rocks for brains...No, that's too lenient! You people don't have brains! And no, I won't even buy your stuff at the foreclosure sale when Joeken goes belly up; which can't come soon enough! OJF |
| Joe I did not want the refund because I was bitching, I wanted the refund because when that kit was ordered you gave your WORD that you had an excellent kit set aside with all matching numbers for 200.00 dollars, when in fact what was received was a big piece of S#$T where the numbers could have been matched better by my 7 year old daughter. If the check comes in I will post that it came in and say thank you at that time, but the point is that this should never have had to come down to this. |

My point has already been proven here on this board. If those were the problems we had out of the hundreds probably thousands of customers on this board that have ordered from us I apologize for our mistakes. Now its time to drive on. The few of you that are here just to bad mouth our company and tell us you'll never do business with us again point taken. We are rocking and rolling and squaring shit away so I am going to continue to take care of all the new customers on this board that are giving us a chance and we will show these clowns things have in fact turned around. from what I've been reading in the papers, the Army is handing out Bronze stars faster than the Purple heart. So for you to say that you were recommended for(not given) a bronze star, don't say anything to me. In fact, it's laughable! The Army maybe handing out hundreds of bronze stars. Some are bs and many others deserve much more. I think you know as an individual if you deserved that BSM, ARCOM etc... But your fellow soldiers that served with you sure as hell know. When your over there in that hell hole thats all you have to look forward to when your back home safe drinking a beer. ETA: I think I misunderstood something here. Andrew is absolutely right to defend his record, anybody who wants to can challenge him about his record, but when he proves his service record the person who mad ethe challenge will get my vote for the biggest jackass on the internet. There are many vetereans who participate in this hobby, and they all deserve respect for thier service. |
