| What are some good AK books? Mostly looking for either history, or like...hrmm, like a timline kinda thing, showing different variations, either russian or other countries. Even just general Kalishnikov books. Thank you |

The best by far that I've found: Ezell & Blake's Kalashnikov, the Arms and the Man. www.collectorgrade.com/bookshelf7.html Val Shillen's "Legends and Reality of the AK" is also excellent. Charlie Cutshaw's book about the current state of Russian Small Arms is also good. For photos, Masami Tokoi authored a book with incredible photographs of AK's up to the mid-90's or so a few years ago. The book is in Japanese but there is an English translation. If you already know you're AK's, the text is secondary to the beautiful photographs. |
| I just picked up a pretty good book called The AK-47 and AK-74 KALASHNIKOV RIFLES and Their Variations written by Joe Poyer. I enjoyed reading it, it also has a lot of information about all types of AK's.hug.gif |
