| What is your opinion of these rifles in the "AK Family"?. I am looking at getting my first AK and was looking for some advice. |

Everyone should have a Chinese AK in their collection. Slant cut receiver.....Pass on it. Straight cut receiver.....Try and get it for $350-$375 If not, wait for your next local gunshow and I guarantee you will see someone walking around with one on their shoulder just waiting to sell for $300-$325. I have a MAK also. Mine was a regular straight cut reciever. I paid 350$ for it. It came with the thumbhole stock though. Go compare the finish and overall looks of the rifle compared to the ever popular WSAR-10 romanian guns. MUCH better. I have a few buddies with romanian guns and I swear they look spray painted. |
