I just bought a WASR 10 and am looking for some help.
1 Who makes a good rail mount so I can put a red dot on it?
2 Do I need a single hook or double hook tappco trigger?

Thanks for the help.

not sure about the rail but you're going to want the single hook for the trigger.  i dont even think a double will even fit.

Yep you'd have to file a little notch in the receiver to put a double hook get a single just as nice...
Tantal for optics a little high but K Vars sold out I think?? It does have the side rail right??

Tantal has mounts that slide on the scope rail on the left side of your rifle, and bring it over the receiver and dust cover.   tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/

Some people have had very good luck with the Ultimak forward mounting system that replaces the gas tube.

Optics on AK's aren't my cup of tea, but your mileage may vary.........I don't think you'd be making a bad decision with either a rig from Tantal or an Ultimak mounting system.

TAPCO also has the receiver covers for AK's with a mount for optics, it also has two screws in the rear to maintain positive zero.
You don't have to buy the double hook trigger unless you want to spend money, and if you want to, may I suggest the Red Star Arms adjustable fire control group, much better (In my Opinion).

Hope this one works better than the one I bought from them a while back for a FN FAL I had.  After a few rounds down range it would change POA/POI.   After a number of times trying I sold it.     If you have the scope rail riveted on the side of your receiver then that's the way to go.

The mount for the scope rail is solid enough to beat a fool to death with once properly installed.
