How much mag wobble is normal in AK's. My mag wobbles front to back and side to side.  Its not alot, but not as tight as an AR mag. Is this normal?

What make AK? What kind of magazines are you using?
There's usually a little play side to side but shouldn't be any front to back.

In my Saiga (Kreb's conversion), the AMD 65 Hungarian AK 20rd 7.62X39mm double stack Tanker mags (Tapco) lock in tight with absolutely no wobble at all - nice mags!  The 5 round waffle pattern Bulgarian mags (K-Var) have a bit of wobble, but are otherwise nice (especially for shooting from the bench or from the prone position without the bipod legs extended).  The 30 round waffle pattern Bulgarians (K-Var) are loose as a goose and wobble in all directions in my rifle.

its a home built amd-65. Im using a 20rnd hungarian and a unknown 30rnd.  The front to back wobble is due to space between the mag release and the receiver.
