My only concern with any Russian or Eastern European Vodkas would be the levels of contamination in the lakes from which they draw water...Chernobyl's results still linger.

And you don't think you're exposed to various forms of chemicals and radiation living in the US? Besides I think it said in the article that is was made in the UK.

I think the "AK bottle" was just a limited run... they have a more normal bottle now.

I don't doubt chemical exposure here, but its nothing compared to over there.  Yeah, missed the UK thing.

Come on, don't be a wimp, nuclear contamination just adds to the buzz!

I heard about that when it came out a year or two ago. As I recall, when it came in the AK47 bottle, it ran about $150 or some rediculous amount like that.

well i have been trying to get a bottle of this stuff for years, i heard that he kalishnikov had his own brew and i've saw a bottle on a video of him, so when i was in Armenia a former soviet country i went in every liq. store i saw asking for it, no one even heard of it. this was four years ago, last year i was in belrus and in russia, while in moscow i went into a liq. shop asked about it and got a dumbfounded look from the guy, he told me to come back in one hour, i thought he was gonna get me a bottle....i was happy... so anyway hour comes around and i'm back at that store, this time hes not alone, with him was a detective from the moscow police thank god my buddy was with me this time to translate, they thought i was trying to buy an AK, lol. one hell of a night, once the cop found out what i was looking for he laughs and insisted i had a drink with him and me pay him ten US dollars so i can get a get out of jail card, anyways thats my story on that.  Joe

This story Just SUCKS. FORTUNATELY it's JUST in the U.K. so far....

Hope it STAYS that way, OR that the maker eventually changes their minds and brings it back.

Gotta admit. COOL bottle.
