im new to the sks , i just got a russian sks refurb and i have never shot a 7.62x39 before so im wondering whats the recoil equivalent to 20,12 gauge , 44 mag rifle? and also another ? does the front sight sit off to the side slightly or is it just me? if so is it supose to sit over slightly or what? how can i fix this if its a problem?

cant help you with the site but the recoil isnt bad at all. It just has a little punch to it. I can go out and dump 40 round mags all day and it doesnt bother me at all. Where are you at in Ks?
