Is there any way to adapt a regular AKM-type stock and pistol grip to a VEPR receiver? Thanks.

Pistol grip - yes


Regular AKM butstock  - no, because it has a slant cut receiver

Only if you weld a triangle to square off the rear of the reciever.

You might want to try talking to Ironwood Designs.  They make stocks for slant cut recievers.  Even if they don't currently produce something that fits, they might make something for you.
