| I'm looking for my first AK and have been doing a lot of research lately. I keep seeing (new) AKs on the internet for $275-$350. I've checked the local gun shops in Las Vegas and the cheapest WASR-10 I've found was $450. One stores prices started at $550 and went up! None of the guns I've looked at had a milled receiver, they were all stamped. Other than greed, is there any other reason the prices would be this high? I don't mind paying a bit more if the quality is there, I just don't want to get ripped off. |

Guns in Nevada are always higher than the rest of the world. It sucks but what can you do. I was looking at a Springfield Mil-spec .45 awhile back and the shops in Reno started at $450 plus taxs. got it off gunbrokers for $415 delievered and transfer. I dont pay for background checks (CCW). If you can find a shop that wont rape you for transfer, buy it off the net. Just read the guys feedback and make sure hes on the up and up. |

NO-Ban WASR-10s should not cost over $400 ANYWHERE... "Cheaper-Than-Dirt" here in Fort Worth, Texas sells no-ban WASRs for $399, and that's a generally expensive store. Get one from Atlantic or elsewhere on-line. www.atlanticfirearms.com/rifles/ak47/ak47.html |
Ohio must be a blessed state- AK's don't go for less than $400 for a Post Ban in this neck of the woods, and usually there are only 2 or 3 at the BIG shows |
