Is there an easy and quick way to tell if a stamped MAK-90 has a slant cut or straight cut receiver. i know it can be done by takin off the thumbhole stock, but thats not always possible.

i thought all MAK 90s have the thumbhole stock that collars around the back of the receiver?

Only sure method would be to remove the stock.  Could try a magnet though - see if it trys to "grab" where the lower rear corners of the receiver would be if it is straight.  Could also try tapping on the wood with your fingernail, if there is a gap between the stock and receiver you would feel/here a different report over the receiver vs solid wood.

This one of mine WAS a thumbhole stock. It's normal.
