5.56mm AK, best bet would be one of the Arsenal SAM5 rifles. If you are wanting something cheaper, might find a used SAR3. Of course you can always build one or have one built. I prefer the last option

Get a SAR 3 and send it to AK-USA for a brake and a makeover. You'll be glad you did. www.ak-103.com

the saiga conversions are practical.  the arsenal inc. milled 5.56 rifles are well made and heavy.

the sar3/wasr3 rifles are inexpensive and should be hand selected prior to purchase and a return agreement established before money changes hands. a redstararms hammer/fire control group is a necessity with the romanian/bulgarian hybred.

SAR3 uses a Bulgy bbl, sits different than the SAR2 5.45 Romy bbl, but Century uses the same fcg, hence the problem in Need Of Correction by the user.

In the super nice $600 range, SAM5 or VEPR. In the net-$400 range, SAR3 or Saiga build.

I knew we corrupted many people, but "my addiction simply grows" by your second post in 1 month? You'll fit in here
