[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Same old sighting question

After confusing hacko.gif myself over the same old question, does someone have a picture on where the adjustment tab on the rear sight goes. Is the tab supposed to cover the 1 or is the top of the tab supposed to line up with the line under the 1. This is for sighting in of course and I do beleive it is my second example. And what the freak is the little n for?

Got half my answer from an AK manual in the downloads section. Still dont know what the n is for.

The distance you are shooting(100,200,300 etc) should line up with the front edge of the barrel slide on the rear sight. The n or what ever you have (they are differant according to country) is the battle sight setting. This is equal to 300 meters.
