Are guns that have only 4 US parts still legal in the present form even without the mag inserted with US Followers?
I always wondered because if you just have the gun without the mag isnt it not in comliance with 922r

Yes the gun would be incompliance with no mag in it. The point of 922r is not to make a certain number of US parts, but to have no more than 10 foreign parts. You can remove US parts and as long as you don't replace them with foreign parts, you are golden.
