| Is the brake that's used on the 74's the same one seen on the AK-103? By that I mean is one designed for 5.45 only or are they interchangeable? |

the russian 101 and 103 (5.56 and 7.62 std. length carbines) use an ak74 brake. i assume the 7.62 version is clearanced for the larger projectile. the short carbines, the 102. 104 and use a krinkov gas booster device. again, i would presume them to be sized to the projectile's calibre. www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/weapon.shtml |
