Is either the tube style return spring assembly or the wire style return tube assembly considered superior to the other? If so, why. Thanks in advance for your opinion.

i don't think there is a structural/mechanical advantage to either.
the rpk assembly is 'supposed' to have a higher spring rate. i tried one and i'll be danged if i can tell any difference in the semi mode.
