I was hoping to build my own Bulgarian AK-74 with some plum furniture but am beginning to think that it will be too difficult. I have no experience with building my own rifles and have only poor to moderate mechanical ability. Do I have any chance of succeeding? hinking.gif |
| Im not some grease monkey, but have worked as a mech for the last 16 years, so I was worried also, number one importance is to measure and remeasure. If I didnt have the easy accsess to all the tools I have, I would not have tried this. I do hear of people doing it with a dremel, a corded drill and hammers. I say try it, you never know till you try, and Im sure everyone here would be more than willing to assist along the way. I always thought about some peasent in a mud hut with nothing but 2 bricks and a wood stick turning out aks all day long, so surely I could make a reasonable attempt. And Im sure you can also. |
