Just received my SAR-3 back from Troy. Got the gun cheap as she was butt ugly and wasn't working just right, add a K-VAR stock, RSA trigger group,'74 brake and a refinish - she is sweet. Looks real nice next to a Romak 1, Troy performed the same magic on last year. All I need now is to find a SAR-2 cheap to complete the set.

Look like Bulgarian .223 waffle mags. Supposedly hard to come by, from what I have been reading here and there. But I haven't really looked for them. I have a bunch. |

Those are sweet looking AKs. I sure like my SAR-3. I have a KVAR kit on one of my SAR-1s. I have Russian dot sights on a 1 and a 3. I have an Ultimak on the other 1 with a Holosight. Yours look great with the furniture and the refinish. Inspiring! Other items on my possibles list. |
| When did you send this to troy, and how long did it take for him to work on it? The reason I ask is because I sent my AK to him to have some work done on it, but he never told me how long it would take. That was about 2 months ago. I am just getting a thumbstock conversion and a sight mount installed - not an entire build. |
