Dickheads have pissed me off with my last 2 orders-cancelled both. Well, one they just flat out never sent and told me after about a month I'd have to reorder. After all the money I've spent with them in the past year I'd expect a little better. We need someone else to sell this stuff. That's MO right now anyway.

I won't use them any more either.  I picked up a PO scope from them and it broke while trying to site it in.  They wouldn't even talk to me about it.  This was last summer.

No customer service.  I had spent a lot of $ with them too.  Screw me out of $200, to hell with them.

Where did it break?

I tried to sight it in at  ~25M.  We could get it to adjust very little at all.  The screw on the right side that holds the adjustment knob on broke the head off.  The whole adjustment assembly will fall out if turned to the right side.

I might be able to find a similar replacement screw, but I don't know if taking the old screw out will cause a problem with the internal vacume. The scope did not seam to want to adjust to any degree anyway.

That sucks dude.  It is a shame that they did not do something to correct it, like replace the scope or give you some store credit or something.

Obe,
THAT DOES SUCK!.....remember guys IMHO there is only one guy to deal with when it comes to Ruskie optics..... Tantal..... he maybe in short supply of stuff, but there is nobody in the AK business that stands behind the product AFTER the sale like him!
7/3/2004 9:27:33 AM EDT
[#11]
And we were not doing anything to his that did not work right for mine.....

Obe,

....contact Tantal..... he would know the vaccum question, and he might even have a spare off a trashed unit.

[#13]
That might be considered a good idea by some.

Tantal has helped me on quite a bit of stuff.

I also like Yuri at Freedom Optics.  He always has what I needed and has decent prices.  Plus, he knows his Russian optics (but not as much as Tantal....).

Online.
Last order I picked up some sale items and a bunch of other stuff. After 2 days they emailed me to tell me I couln't get the sale items because I didn't by an AK-74 parts kit recently. If that's the case they should quit sending me emails. Not to mention the fact that I bought 3 of their kits in the past year plus several other extraneous orders.
So they dicked me around for a few bucks. Hope it was worth it to them.

Wouldn't have been so bad but it was 2 orders in a row.

I just took the plunge and ordered the AK-74 parts set with the plum furniture. This my first AK in this caliber, I have never even fired an AK-74 before not alone owned one. All my other AKs are all in 7.62x39 or .308 (VEPRII).

Now I need to find a quality receiver for this, any suggestions? I remember a few months back reading some posts about another company coming forward and producing them, but a name was never mentioned. This was not referring to Arsenal USA 1.5mm receiver but a European 1mm version.

Thanks for any input on this guys!

Nice kit choice! Mine is on a OOW and works well. PLenty of opinions in the builders forum.

OOW is what I am leaning to, I figured there might be other manufacturers that I had not thought of.

Thanks.

I quit bothering with K-VAR since anything I ever wanted was out of stock for a continuous 5 month period... By the time of the 5th month, I just said "fuck it" and haven't returned to the site since.
