I was wondering if berdan primed ammo can be used with the SAM-7's with the spring loaded firing pins, thanks in advance.

I use it all the time in mine. I think all Russian 7.62x39 is berdan primed.

Yeah, the new system was added to make it a bit safer when using softer primed ammo (by preventing possible slam fires), but this new firing pin system of theirs does not prefer soft over hard primers or vice versa :)
