I picked up a 40rd and 75rd magazine pouch that I believe to be Russian.  Can anyone ID these for me?  The second photo is a close up of a wooden tag sewed to the strap of the drum pouch

2nd pouch is indeed Russian RPK early pouch for the 40 rounders... very nice...

1st pouch is for the RPD drum, and the canvas looks russian, but typically Chinese have the wooden buckles.... but the writing on there kinda looks like Russian cursive, and that is something they do (write there names on mag pouches...have seen it before on AKM pouches).  Again though, the canvas looks Russian... I have a Russian RPD pouch that has buckles and leather however, so I am still unsure on this one...

The Russians did use the wooden toggles, they differ from the Chineese by being blunt instead of pointed. Most of these were Afghan war era.

while i do not own an rpk pouch, none of my russian 4-mag cell pouches have black buckles.

my bulgarian pouches have black hardware.

i assume the russians switched to black hardware at so time in the 1990's.
