It happened, some time ago I decided to write an article on customizing and tuning the AK47. Based the article on my Hungarian AK which was fitted with a Krebs 74 muzzlebrake, Ultimak and RSA triggerset. Mailed the article to the lead editor of a major dutch gunmagazine and quess what.......I'm getting published...just waiting to make an appointment for a photoshoot of the weapon.... I'm so GD happy, I could jump and not come down....... |

I've got the raw text still here of course and I already could start translating, but I am also very curious what the editor of this mag will make of it. i.e. If he gets some of his own input in the article or if I get printed as is. Either way, we made an appointment for a photoshoot of Svetlana come Wednesday and I expect it printed in the August edition(since it's a bimonthly magazine). When done I'll sure as shit will scan and translate and post here.... Basicly the article is about how to make an underdog rifle competative with AR15's for less money in tacrifle situations. The editor and owner of this magazine isn't too fond of the AK47 in general, but he has reviewed the Hungarian AK47 with milled receiver (like mine) a year ago and was suprised on it's performance. So I got his attention by stating that I have the same basic AK47 and tricked with some nice accesoiries. That and the fact that he loves dynamic service rifle matches came beautifully together in his willing to publish me as a quest author. |
