hello i have an sar 1 with amd 63 furniture and when i am tring to bump fire it some times the fireing pin just barely touches the primer and the shell dosent go off this happens rather often even when rapid fireing. I tried a new bolt and bolt carrer but it still does it. This can be rather flusterateing any of you guys out there know what i am talking about or have had this happen to them????
I have also replaced the fire control group

What kind of fire control group?  It may be improperly configured.  I had a similar problem after I midifed the stock FCG in my SAR (since replaced) to lighten the trigger pull.

The hammer wasn't locking back well enough and it was following the bolt, resulting in light primer strikes.

both of those suck.

Get a Gordon Tech G2 FCG... I know there have been some sales on em, I got mine for $30 shipped. Did some basic polishing and it's extremely smooth and runs great.

For a SAR-1 with a pistol grip you will need a US-made FCG to be legal with 922r.

Get the G2 group as suggested if you want to keep from spending a lot, otherwise the RSA FCG is excellent for a bit more.

I would bet the problem would go away if you put a G2 in there.

i also think your hammer is following the bolt carrier home.

do you get consistant mis-fires when slow firing? have you measured your firing pin protrusion?

the only time i get a mis fire is when i am trying to bump fire or rapid fire it but you are right i have noticed that my hammer is following the bolt home

try stretching the disconnector spring a little bit or fitting a wolff brand replacement spring.
