I know this isn't really a AK topic and I'll catch hell from the long timer's I'm Rebluing a old model 94 Winchester for my Dad for father's day..I've never done before this before??? I stripped her down and am ready to go..Any advice from someone that has done a old rifle would be very appreciated....

'how' old? i seriously recommend that you take this rifle to a firearm refinisher that is well versed in the ways of correctly refinishing a winchester. it may cost you a few dollars more to get it right, but a competent smith/refinisher can get it so close to original it isn't funny. the polishing and old winchester rust blued blue-blue can make or break a winchester! expect to pay $200 or so for a quality job and much more for 'restoration' grade refinishing. |
