Here are closeups of the weld spots that make it a post-ban. My dremel is waiting for september.

Interesting how the top handguard furniture (I assume Plum) looks red from the flash...

Anyway, go out and shoot that thing!  Pronto!

Damn. I'd have though it being a SEAK (quality gun), they'd have silver soldered that brake on.

When the ban sunsets, it will be easier to dremel a weld away than it will be un unsolder.

I Like the weld better.  Come Sept.  I'll use the dremel to make the brake removable instead of sending it back to have the silver solder removed.

Acetalyne canister/torch is cheap, cheaper (and faster) than sending it away for the same procedure... Just don't heat it up too much

Edit: what about 50/50 solder? is that okay to use?

One last pic now that I've got all of the crap hanging off of it.

I should have weighed it before I added this stuff. It weighs 8.5 lbs now with an empty mag (scales probably off). Heavy doesn't matter though, it's just a range toy for me.

is the ultimak weaver or picatinny?

There was a question about this in Optics section just a few days ago. TonyF emailed them and the reply he got states that the rail is picatinny. They don't offer two versions, do they?

Hmm...

I was just going by the description from the website I ordered it from.

The ring also said weaver on it and fits fine.

How do I tell the difference by looking at it?
