Ok, on the hunt for a 5.45  Krink kit. I went to KVAR, and they had several. They were out of stock on the AKS-74SD, but had the AKS-U.

What is the major difference between the two? It looked like from the picture that the AKS-74SD already had the barrel pressed into the trunnion, is that correct?

Who else has good Krink kits in stock, and which one would you recommend?

I also have been thinking about a .223 Krink. Pro's and Con's on this?

Any and all input appreciated.

Depends on how short you are building the Krink; fake can 16" or permitted oem length. Consider the fireball from a 16" bbl in 5.56 since the round was designed for a 20" burn. Actual felt recoil difference between 5.45/5.56 in full-size 74s is negligable to me, but a lighter gun will not minimize the differnece.

I believe KVAR is the only game in town for Krinkov Kits.

Todd at ORF mentioned that he may have some coming in the near future...
