Many thanks for the PK-AS endorsement. Received from Tantal yesterday.  Nice sight!

Can't wait for the AK74 to be done so I can range report.

I agree with your feelings regarding the PK vs. the Kobra.

PK is a better aquisition tool. It's no contest!

Por nada, glad you like it so far! The Kobra was always my #1 choice for the AK until I tried the PK-AS. Although I've heard it's designed for use w/the left eye (just more of a cheek roll from using irons) I find myself more and more just keeping both eyes on target then raising the rifle until the dot's on target and shoot. No head movement necessary, just keep both eyes focused Very fast, very comfortable even w/o a cheek or chin weld. I'm looking forward to your range report, what's the ETA for your AK-74?

The sooner the better, hopefully in 3 weeks.

I agree with your take on the sight.  Just holding it up at approximate level and distance is an indicator that this is a good idea... both eyes open...yes.  I agree.

Time will tell, but so far so good.  It's a nicer made piece than many optics I've seen from that part of the world. The black dot and reticle seem to be more than usable.

One thing I have noted is that the PK-AS I received from Tantal has a bit more eye relief than others I have seen pictured. I requested the most up to date piece Tantal had, and true to his word and great service he sent this one.  I have to work this afternoon and evening or I'd post a pic of the sight.

It would be interesting to get more info on these as far as deployment, evolution, etc.
